Course Overview

This course is designed to provide the learner the basic understanding of fractures and the acute fracture management of clients. Rehabilitation of common fractures in the ILTC sector will be reviewed and mobility of clients with fracture with mobility aids will be emphasised. At the end of the course, participants will be able to competently ambulate clients with fracture and apply safe and proper procedures in walking aid education to clients and walking aid application to clients.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• What is a fracture, the different types of fracture
• Care of client with fractures- general surgical management.
• The various types of walking aid
• Understand the needs of good biomechanics for client and self
• Apply the organization policies and procedures in safety of walking aid
• Psychomotor (P)
• Maintain, use and teach walking aids

Certificate of Accomplishment in Managing Common Rehab Conditions (Basic)

The three modules are compulsory in the basic-level stackable training roadmap. Upon completion all the compulsory modules in the roadmap, learners will be awarded a Certificate of Accomplishment (COA) in Managing Common Rehab Conditions (Basic).
