The Assessment-only Pathway (AOP) is designed to certify the competencies of experienced healthcare workers. Healthcare staff with the relevant knowledge and skills can complete the assessment for a WSQ course through the AOP without going through the full Community Care Associate(CCA) training.

  • Candidates who are assessed as "Competent" for a WSQ AOP will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA).
  • Candidates who achieve SOAs for all the modules listed below (seven WSQ + six Non-WSQ) will be awarded the WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Community Care).

The Assessment-only Pathway (AOP) is designed to certify the competencies of experienced healthcare workers. Healthcare staff with the relevant knowledge and skills can complete the assessment for a WSQ course through the AOP without going through the full Community Care Associate(CCA) training. 1. Self-Assessment Checklist Candidates must complete the Self-Assessment Checklist with a minimum score of 60%. Required Document: Self-Assessment Checklist(Patient Care Delivery in Nursing) (Download Folder) Important: Candidates who do not achieve at least 60% on the Self-Assessment Checklist are not eligible to sign up for the AOP. Such candidates are encouraged to consider attending the Community Care Associate (CCA) training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge. 2. Employment Requirement or Supervisor Recommendation Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements: Employment Requirement Employed in a related job for at least 1 year. Required Document: Employment Declaration Form(Download Folder) OR Supervisor Recommendation Recommended by a current supervisor. Required Document: Supervisor Reccomendation Form(Download Folder) Important: Candidates must fill-in and upload either the Employment Declaration Form OR the Supervisor Recommendation Form, depending on which category they belong to. 3. AOP Declaration Candidates are required to download the AOP Declaration Document from this webpage, complete all necessary details, and submit the signed form. Note: By signing the declaration, candidates acknowledge that in the event a participant requires reassessment, the organisation will need to cover the full AOP fee, as AIC funding does not apply in such cases.
