Course Outline
- Identify early symptoms of infectious disease in client and report them promptly to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Apply and enforce infection prevention strategies within the care setting
- Implement, monitor and evaluate individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of clients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a holistic and coordinated care
- Apply effective therapeutic communication techniques to interact with clients and healthcare professionals
- Use clear and respectful communication to share client information and observation with hearth care team
- Develop and facilitating group and social therapy sessions, ensuring activities are safe and suitable for all participants
- Modify activities to accommodate the varying abilities and need of the client within the care setting
- Assist therapists in conducting comprehensive client assessment of clients by provide observation and assist in simple clinical tasks in safe manner
- Educate clients on the necessary information and skills required for safe and effective participation in therapy sessions
- Empower clients through education to enhance their understanding of therapy goals and self-care practices
Who should attend:
Experienced Community Care worker appointed to ensure the implementation of operational procedures in the provision of healthcare (Nursing and Therapy) services in the following LTC setting:
- Nursing Homes
- Senior Care Centres
- Active ageing Centres
- Day Rehabilitation Centres
Minimum Entry Qualification:
- Obtained WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Community Care) AND
- With at least 2 years of working experience as CCA in the Community Care Sector
If staff do not meet these minimum requirements, please contact Training Provider for possible waiver.
As this course is fully funded by the Community Care sector training grant and not SSG funding, please note that CCOs cannot claim Absentee Payroll from SSG
