Description

Embark on a structured learning journey designed to build progressive competencies in dementia care.

The Foundations in Person-Centred Dementia Care begins with a understanding of dementia and the principles of person‑centred care. Learners will explore how to identify triggers of behavioural changes, apply appropriate strategies to support responsive behaviours, and communicate effectively with persons living with dementia.

As the programme advances, learners will learn how to plan and conduct purposeful, meaningful activities that promote engagement and well‑being. The Programme also introduces palliative approaches to support persons living with dementia in the later stages of their condition.

Learners will conclude the journey by applying and practising classroom knowledge in real‑life settings, gaining hands‑on experience in supporting a person living with dementia with confidence and compassion.
