About the Course

At the end of the course, you will be able to conduct checks in accordance with work plans and instructions, so as to support organisational workplace safety and health (WSH).

What You'll Learn

  • Adhere to WSH policy and procedures.
  • Assist in the conduct of compliance inspections within work area.
  • Identify non-compliances, unsafe work conditions and practices.
  • Communicate the risks and control measures to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify personal protective equipment requirements and safety device required for safe operations of tools and equipment at the workplace in accordance with the organisational procedures.
  • Follow safety signs, instructions and workplace risk control measures in accordance with the organisational procedures.
  • Interpret safety signs and hazard symbols.

Certificate

You will receive a Statement of Attainment from SSG upon attainment of a minimum of 75% training attendance and pass the associated assessments.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Speak, listen and read English at Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3, and manipulate numbers at Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.
  • Never attended school.
  • With the interest to be employed in the food services industry as or to venture into the industry.
