SAC Assessor Enclave 2021

SAC Assessor Enclave is a platform for SAC to express our appreciation to all our assessors. This year, the event was virtually held on 5th October and attended by over 100 participants, including SAC assessors, council committee and technical committee members.

The event recognised 53 assessors who have contributed significantly to SAC’s assessment. As we give our heartiest congratulations to these assessors, we would also like to extend our appreciation to all assessors for their continued support and commitment to SAC, especially for their support of new initiatives in the SAC Strategic Plan 2025.

SAC Year In Review 2021

The Year In Review (YIR) event was held jointly by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) and Singapore Standards Council (SSC) on 27 September 2021. Together with SAC and SSC, Enterprise Singapore has been spearheading the development of quality frameworks in Singapore, including both standards and accreditation programmes. Quality and Standards continues to play an integral role in supporting the needs of industries, and helping businesses connect to the world.

Launch of New Accreditation Programme for Cold Chain Management System Certification

Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) is pleased to launch the new accreditation programme for Cold Chain Management System (CCMS) Certification on 16 November 2021.

This new accreditation programme accredits certification bodies (CBs) certifying companies to SS 668: Part 1: 2020 Cold chain management of chilled and frozen foods – Part 1: General requirements. SS 668 is intended to strengthen Singapore’s cold chain ecosystem, by setting out the general requirements for the management of chilled and frozen food, including pre-packaged food, meat, vegetables and fruits, fish, as well as chilled table eggs. The accreditation programme will ensure that the certification of the cold chain management systems are carried out by competent CBs, so that consumers can be assured of the quality of chilled and frozen food products in the market.
