Course Description

The Continuous Process Improvement Program (CPIP) Methodology and Application course provides participants with comprehensive training to effectively lead and execute improvement projects in healthcare settings. The course covers the CPIP diagnostic journey, equipping participants with the skills to craft problem and mission statements, gather and analyse evidence, and utilise tools such as silent brainstorming, affinity diagrams, Ishikawa diagrams, root cause analysis and Pareto voting.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this 8 hour course, participants will be able to:

▪ Master the CPIP methodology for diagnosing and addressing process inefficiencies.

▪ Craft problem and mission statements that align with project goals.

▪ Gather and interpret data to substantiate the need for improvement.

▪ Apply silent brainstorming and affinity diagram techniques to generate and categorize ideas.

▪ Construct Ishikawa diagrams for systematic root cause analysis.

▪ Use Pareto voting to prioritize impactful solutions.

▪ Develop and manage improvement projects, utilizing effective project management strategies.

▪ Plan and execute interventions to resolve identified issues.

▪ Measure improvements, calculate cost savings, and demonstrate project value.

▪ Implement strategies to sustain and scale successful improvements.

▪ Prepare and deliver abstracts, posters, and presentations to showcase project outcomes.

▪ Lead and complete at least one CPIP-based improvement project supported by coaching and facilitation.
