Course Duration

• Classroom: 24 hrs
• Assessment: 2 hrs

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, learner will have the knowledge and application skills in inducting security personnel and be able to apply them to workplace. This include:

• Prepare to induct security officer
• Conduct induction on access control
• Conduct induction on patrolling
• Conduct induction on security and alarm systems
• Conduct induction on reception duties

Course Content

The training hour for this course is 26 hours. It consists of the following Knowledge and Abilities:

• Characteristics of competency-based training
• Workplace learning methods
• Components of a workplace learning plan
• Questioning techniques
• Instructional techniques and methods for working with team members to increase capability and performance
• Principles of giving and receiving of feedback
• Develop workplace learning plan using appropriate workplace learning methods
• Prepare to facilitate workplace learning.
• Provide on-the-job instruction, coaching to increase the capability and performance of team members
• Communicate expectations of team performance in a positive manner
• Facilitate workplace learning using workplace learning plan
• Provide feedback on work progress

Minimum Entry Requirement

Qualification:

• The minimum entry educational qualification for Auxiliary Police Officers and APO (Enforcement) below the rank of Auxiliary Police Inspector shall be 3 GCE ‘N” Level credits, 3 SPM Credits, NITEC or their equivalent.
• The minimum entry educational qualification for Security Officer shall be 3 GCE ‘N” Level credits, 3 SPM Credits, NITEC or their equivalent and have completed the Basic Licensing Unit.

Nationality:

Singapore Citizens, Malaysian Citizens who are Singapore Permanent Residents or Malaysian holders of Work Permits or Employment Passes.

Physical and Medical Requirement:

• Certified by a medical doctor to be physically fit for work
• Not be colour-blind or hearing impaired

Entry Requirements:

• Be able to read, write and speak English at WPL Level 4
• Be able to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
• Be able to act in a professional manner

• SGD 350.00 before GST
