The workshop aims to equip participants to understand the importance of nutrition, to identify residents at risk of poor nutrition and provide basic nutritional interventions to improve residents' nutrition in intermediate and long term care settings.
At the end of the course, learners will be able to: 1. Gain understanding on the importance of good nutrition, malnutrition risks and its consequences 2. Able to identify and monitor at risk residents 3. Implement basic nutrition strategies to improve residents’ nutrition 4. Appreciate their roles in the provision of nutrition care and optimization of nutrition intake in residents
