The BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)+AED programme provides an in-depth training and higher standard of CPR for both adult and infant victims; operation of AED, and also includes the management of foreign body airway obstruction for both adult and infant.
This course aims to equip learners on how to perform CPR+AED and management of foreign body airway obstruction for adult and infant.
Course Objectives
At the end of the session, participants will be able to perform the following:
- Adult One Rescuer CPR + AED
- Adult Two Rescuer CPR
- Adult Recovery Position
- Adult Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
- Child CPR
- Child Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)
- Infant CPR
- Infant Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)

With reference to the Singapore Resuscitation & First Aid Council (SRFAC) advisory:
- Practical training ratio for CPR and AED related training for all courses will remain at 1 instructor to at least 1 manikin and up to 4 learners within the group. (Trainer to trainee ratio of 1:4)
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an SRFAC-accredited certificate issued separately by the Training Centre.”
