This course aims to provide knowledge and skills in administering oxygen therapy safely. It introduces the basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. The administration of oxygen therapy will be discussed and practiced, taking into consideration safety measures of infection control practices and documentation. The use of pulse oximetry to complement patient assessment in the measurement of peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) for respiratory conditions will be discussed.
