Description

​​The objective of the course is to equip learners with the skills and ​knowledge to recognise the cause of work stress, its effect, and coping ​strategies to support self-care. Learners will further explore the effects ​of work Stress on the Emotional, Mental, Health, Physical, Behavioural ​aspects of their life and of course not to miss on the effects of stress on work organisation. Learners will be able to pick up pointers to recognise
​the importance of self-care and learn how to identify ways to emotionally detach themselves from work after office hours to support self-care and work-life balance.​

COURSE OBJECTIVE

  • Participants will learn to recognise their own physical, emotional, and behavioural signs and symptoms when they are stressed.
  • Participants will identify their sources of stress when working with clients or family members and at workplace.
  • Participants will gain understanding of the effects of stress and the key attributes of managing them.
  • Participants will learn about their own working styles and that of others to complement and embrace each other’s differences.
  • Participants will learn practical tips on self-care including nutrition, basic yoga and mindfulness breathing.
  • Participants will appreciate the eight components of Satir’s Mandala, reflect what it is lacking and how to apply the concept to fill in those gaps.
