This course aims to equip learners with basic knowledge and skills to conduct common fall risk assessments under supervision in therapy services/ healthcare settings.

Learning Outcomes/Objectives:

1. Describe purpose and benefits of fall risk assessment.
2. Identify fall risk factors for older adults.
3. Explain what is fall risk assessment.
4. Identify common fall risk assessment tools
5. Demonstrate clinical procedure skills to conduct the following fall risk assessments under supervision:

• Morse Fall Scale
• 30 Seconds Chair Stand
• Time Up and Go
• 4 stage Balance test
