Description

Course Objectives

This 2-day programme equips managers, supervisors and team leaders with practical leadership and facilitation tools to enable them to harness the power of teamwork by aligning members to focus on the team's shared purpose, developing trust and a culture of collaboration.

Course Outline

Module 1: Breaking the Cross-Functional Barriers

  • Describe the role and challenges of Boundary Management
  • Develop stakeholder support through Network Relationship Mapping

Module 2: Establishing Productive Team Norm

  • Assess team development using the Tuckman Development Stages
  • Setting the teaming norm through the Team Charter process

Module 3: Developing Team Agility

  • Develop team self-direction through put the GRIP (Goals, Roles, Interaction, Processes) in place
  • Collaborate for effective teamwork
  • Facilitate rapid problem solving using the “Response Model”

Module 4: Challenge People to Top Performance

  • Apply the BOFF Principle of feedback and recognition
  • Guiding coaching conversation using the GROW Model
  • Adopt the situational approach to coaching (Innovative, Collaborative, Counselling, Directing) to members of different levels of maturity
